US-Canada mail transit questions..

anyone have any idea as to a ball park time it would take to mail a card from here in Ohio to Guelph, ON?(roughly and hour west of Toronto)
the info i'm seeing from the US side says 7-21days, with no guarantees, Canada post says 6 days for canada->USA.

here's the deal, may 4th I drive Mom to a friends in Guelph, then they go on a girls trip/Mini Class Reunion.
they get back to Guelph on Mother's Day(Sunday may 13), I come up to get her on Monday.

I was wanting to mail a mother's day card to her at the Guelph Address, so it could be there when they get back.
just wondering how early i need to mail it out.

(hoping some of our membership has family on the opposite side of the border that can cast some light on this)

I don't receive any letters from the US but packages usually take 2 weeks unless they are from the northeast US, then maybe 10 days. 10-14 days?

When I send an oil sample from Toronto to Fort Wayne IN, it takes about 5 business days to get there.

When I was working in collections, the average mail time took anywhere from 5-15 business days to arrive. Even longer between Dec-Feb
That's when I suggested we implement a US lock box.
After that, I found that the US postal service is FAR more efficient on letters within the US, than Canada is (for Canadian mail).

now that is amazing. Ft.Wayne is an hour west of me, and the last sample I sent to blackstone took a couple WEEKS to get there...
