Uranium from Africa

Now that the 9-11 Commission seems to be in agreement that Saddam Hussein WAS in fact trying to get Uranium from an African country (remember all the people who called President Bush a liar when he made a speech about this-where are those people now?), I think it is clear that once the UN inspectors were gone, Hussein fully intended to develop WMD-including nuclear weapons. Such weapons could have been made available to terrorists. Now does the Iraqi war make more sense?

And of course, we still don't know if WMD were moved to other countries or not. For those of you who are totally unwilling to accept such a possibility, remember that Bush was called a liar when he made a speech and said that Hussein had tried to get Uranium from a African country. Well, Bush was not a liar. So maybe WMD WERE moved to other countries.

It is a fact that Sadam Insane put out a contract on Bush 41, and was also paying rewards to the families of suicide bombers. That right there is justification. Cleary, if SH had WMD, he either would have used them, or put them in the hands of those who would use them.

Also, the fact that Al Queda wants us out of Iraq so desperately shows that we are on the right track. Invading both Iraq and Afgan was a major kick in the nuts to them, which they really had coming.

I agree with you completely, DockHoliday. It is in fact an act of war to try to murder an American president. We could have gone to war with Iraq on that basis alone.

Why would he want to buy uranium? Better to buy a few old battle-field devices in the open market. Saves a lot of trouble. No need for sourcing the tubes, the reactors and chemicals, the process of enrichment etc, not to mention time. Former USSR, Pakistan, India, N.Korea, Israel, France, UK, Rep. of South Africa (maybe) - have them, or bigger devices. Perhaps someone has access to the list of those who might roll over, and those who might resist effectively. Buying Iranian stocks anyone?

I certinally dont know but haveing your own program is a long term plan where if successfull more WMD's can be produced....

But beings no one has used a Nucular or Atomic weapon aggressivly since WWII ..... My guess is that once some terrorist does actually use one the whole worlds political climate will change overnight.It most likely wont be business as useual..... Supply of these speciality items my dry up instantly as the world gets a good look at what just happened.. and they most likely wont really like what they see.... and it sinks in that they ( anyone in the world ) could be next......

Calvin, people in the world better get a clue BEFORE a nuclear weapon is actually used in London, or New York City, or launched against Israel with the result of a nuclear war taking place in the Middle East. Moslems in the Islamic world need to do some thinking about how much their goals are really being advanced by lunatics who would bring the world down in nuclear disaster.

We now know that Saddam Hussein WAS trying to get Uranium from an African country. Clearly he was planning on developing WMD once the UN inspectors were gone.

The people in the Democratic Party need to get a clue also. America WILL HAVE TO FIGHT when and if a nuclear weapon is detonated in New York City. The Democratic Party better have some sort of plan on how to win a war against terrorism. With Kerry in the White House, IT WILL BE THE DEMOCRATS who will be blamed for failing. In these times the Democratic Party cannot be the party of France, or the party of the UN, or the party of wealthy elitists. We will be in a war if and when that first nuclear weapon explodes in an American city.

Well-I'm sure the first thing he will do is bring U.N. weapon inspectors in and verify if a Nuclear Bomb went off. The U.N. will conclude that if it was a nuclear weapon, it probably was one that excaped the U.S. stockpile. The culprit ??? The Zionists did it.

Kerry will then launch an attack on Israel. Israel will of course defeat us-end of problem

Well unfortunatly there have been several administrations that have failed to realize that the Terrorists are at war with us... and have been since at least the time of when they killed the Isrealis at the Olympics in Germany ...when 1972 or so....But it's been attack after attack after attack.... We are in a war ! and not just in Iraq and Afganistan.This is nothing new.... But the memories of 9/11 are all but forgotten by the far left these days....They must realize that history has proven time and time again that appeaseing them simply does not work..... In fact nothing is going to work until the middle east wakes up and starts educating their people in something other than the Quran and hateing Isreal.... The Quran will not teach them physics ,economics , electronics , or any other subject.... They have to want to take their people out of mass ignorance and bring them into the 21 st century instead of dragging the rest of the world back to the 6th century..... The world simply wont go.... so it's up to them to adapt to the current world..... It's been easy keeping their populace ignorant and placing the blame on Isreal and the USA..... Now even Saudia Arabia is beginning to realise that may not have been such a great idea.... But wether they or anyone else in the middle east has the guts ( they have the money ) to do it remains to be seen.... But I aint holding my breath that it will happen anytime soon.
