I'm not sure if I'm going cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs here, but I went to the epc.shell.com site to try and download the most recent TDS for Pennzoil Platinum 0w20, which was published in Oct/Dec 2012. However, this time when I tried it, it didn't show up. Instead, it went to the older TDS from April 2011! Very odd.
At first I was thinking that something may have been wrong on my end (computer, software updates, etc., even myself!
), but then I developed a bit of a conspiracy theory.
Here's why... Just the other day, it was mentioned on one of the other posts that Pennzoil Platinum 5w20 was now lighter than the 0w20 version (based on the most recent 0w20 TDS).

Clue #2: Again, in regards to the 0w20 version, the VI on the older TDS showed 175, whereas the newer TDS showed only 164. Granted though, some other specs (like the NOACK) showed better numbers on the newer report, so it's not all bad. As an FYI... the VI for the 5w20 is 169.
Here are the other sources I used....

So although it's not the biggest deal in the world, I wonder if SOPUS was reading our posts, and from there... decided to go back to the older report to hide the evidence of our recent discovery (from those of us in search of a lighter 0w20 and higher VI). Hmmmmm... What's your opinion folks?
