Here is my first UOA after the second oil change. I have 3-year free maintenance from VW and technically this was the first oil change on paper, so it was done at the dealer.

I changed the factory oil around 600 miles with OEM 0w20 508.00 and a new filter (in my garage).

This sample was taken at 10500 km (around 6500 miles), dealer also uses OEM 508.00.

It's our family hauler, but my wife also goes to work 3x a week (40 km / 25 miles per day). Some highway miles, some stop-and-go traffic, some short tripping, and sometimes WOT when the engine is warm. I make sure I take it to the highway after repetitive short-tripping, which my wife loves doing. I also tow a motorcycle occasionally (around 1200-1500 lbs total weight, nothing too heavy). So the car sees all types of different driving habits without abusing it.

I also requested TBN, but they haven't provided it yet for some reason.

I found copper and iron is on the higher side, not sure if it's because of the low mileage or towing.

Either way, I'm planning to keep OCI at 10000 kilometres, easy to remember and safer than the recommended 15000 km.

21 ppm Cu and 34 ppm Fe are entirely normal for the second OC during run-in,
especially for an EA888 engine. I'd expect some single digit Cu number for your
next UOA. Nothing to worry about if not excellent.

Congrats to you. Hope this Atlas will serve you well.

Its typical break in metals, there isnt a point to a UOA for another 30k miles. Save your money.
Thanks! I'm aware, I just take one sample at low miles to see if there is any red flag. I'm not going to do it every oil change.
