But of course we're civilized in the US, proof are all of the pet industry ads on TV. We just 'love our pets to death', where we kill about 7 million just in shelters, which I'd guess would be 1/4 or less of how many die in a neglected manner.

Did you know that 7 million adoptable dogs & cats are killed each year due mainly to overpopulation?

The rule when interacting with wildlife is *not to interfere*. Some take that to the point of not rescuing animals falling through ice or whatever. I can't say that and neither can the Croc "hunter".

Meatloaf for breakfast? Breakfast? What happened, Pabs, were you out of cold leftover pizza?

On the other hand, when I was much younger and dumber, I remember having beer for breakfast a few times...

Dog as a food product was made illegal by the Korean gov't some time ago. Now, with that said, the S. Korean's still raise dog for food. I lived about 1/8 mile from a dog farm and I was appalled by the horrendous sounds I heard each day. You see, some dog farmers tenderize the dog meat with 1-2 beatings a day...while the dogs are still alive.

True that. Poor piggies. If I hadn't been conditioned from an early age to regard them as food, I surely wouldn't eat them now! Well, too bad for the piggies.
