Universal portable EVSE?

I periodically rent cars and visit places for business, or visit my parents on their farm.

Most of the EVs I rent come with an L1 charger cord, but I want to buy a portable charger cord that will let me charge faster than that when I have access to a better receptacle. Like a dryer receptacle, welder receptacle on the farm, etc.

When shopping for portable EVSEs I found it's pretty hard to find one that will work on both 240V and 120V. So I would need both an L1 cord and my extra EVSE, when I'd rather just have one EVSE and whatever adapters needed to use any plug and any car. Is there any "universal" portable EVSE cord?

They make them but most are deficient in one way or another.

VEVOR has a 16amp 120v or 240v cord. for example.

There's plenty. You just need the multiple adapters. I have two that came with 5-15, 5-20, 14-30, 14-50, and two others I can't remember that I haven't used. Almost all of them support 120V and 240V with the proper plug. Mine is made by Elektrik. It has a digital display and the amperage can be adjusted from the unit itself.

Tesla has one you can adapters for…will work on pretty much any plug.

I'm learning that even when manufacturer's don't explicitly mention 120V compatibility, by doing a little research I usually find out they support 120V charging after all. I guess 120V charging isn't considered a feature worth advertising.

I'm not sure about quality but I ordered one of these and a few plug adapters.
