I need to replace a 20-A fuse in the under-dash fuse panel in my Ford T-bird(97).

If I'm extremely lazy

, can I get a spare 20A fuse from my wife's Elantra(03) and replace the one in the T-bird?

are those fuses interchangeable?
Thanks.

I wouldn't count on it. The common spade fuses had a good run, but my 02 Cavalier uses 2 new sizes instead. I went out and stocked the glove compartment with some of each. My old truck goes back to the 1/4'' round ones.

All depends on whether the fuses are the same type. Most of the fuses on my '97 and '99 F150's were "mini" spade type fuses, while my '88 Cherokee uses the big spade type. Thus, no using fuses from one in the other...

just a bit of trivial knowledge. the industry designation for "blade" fuses are ATO for the standard size and maxi and mini ATO fuses for the physically larger and smaller types. as long as they are the same amperage rating and physical size they are interchangeable.
