I got their deal: 6 Qts Mobil 1 0w-40 Euro at 24% off, + $12 Coupon + a Free Mobil 1 Oil Filter.

All for $37.06.

Amazon Prime, so it's shipped 2-day for free.

One bottle was leaking a little and I called to let them know.

Here is a picture, (it looks worse than what it is because it leached...) but looking at the level, I bet it leaked just a tablespoon, total.

Amazon said they cannot replace just 1 bottle, sooooo, Amazon is shipping a case of 6 bottles for FREE!! I said they did not need to go that far, but she pretty much insisted.

Shipping next day too, so I'm getting it tomorrow1

Now, that's Customer Service!!

A good oil will do that.... On a serious note foil seals on all oil containers would be nice, but here it worked to your benefit!

That's awesome! I had a leaky bottle of Redline D6 come from Amazon before (other 4 bottles in shipment were fine). One call to Amazon and they shipped another quart, with rush shipping, no questions asked. And the person on the phone was kind and competent.

It was 7PM Central when they said I'll receive it tomorrow.

Between the cost of the 6 Qts. of Mobil 1 0w-40, handling & shipping, I bet that cost them, but they thought nothing of it.

I said 2-3 day is fine, but she insisted next day!

That moment when I'm still SUPER surprised nobody has proven/claimed they are actually the good guy Greg meme... that poor guy is in for a wake of fun when he finds out how popular he is...

The leaking is not really Amazon fault, it's more like Mobil fault that a cap on 1 bottle wasn't tight enough so a little oil leaked. But it's nice of Amazon to take care of its customers.

Of all the online sites, Amazon probably has the best customer services.

Right, I called to let them know. Figured maybe they'd comp me $10 max or send 1 quart.

Never did I think they'd send a case of M1...

...and "next day" at that.

I just got done chatting with Amazon. $51 item I ordered says delivered yesterday but I never got it. (We've been having problems with the mail man) Amazon offered refund or replacement. Item no longer in stock so I took the refund. I didn't even have to call!

I've been ordering from Amazon for a number of years. Everything from college books to gear oil. I've never had a problem and their customer service has been top notch. They really put eBay to shame, and often if I'm looking for an item that is on both Amazon and eBay, I'll order it from Amazon.

You guys won't believe this.......

So UPS dropped off a package the next day, but it was not shaped like a case of oil....

I opened it up and it was a "Car Seat Canopy" for a Baby Car Seat Carrier!

So I contacted Amazon. They said to keep the Car Seat canopy and they'll send the case of Mobil 1 0w-40 to me next day shipping.

The next day, I finally got the FREE case of Mobil 1 0w-40.

Amazon is great, I buy as much as I can from them.

Call them and tell them the car seat is broken and ask for a refund! LOL!

Yeah Ive gotten that kind of service too. In the past when Ive insisted that I don't need a whole big replacement, they have given me just 10% off or something along those lines, but free is nice, and Ive had entire items replaced for free with the bad one still serviceable.

Seems like a good business plan for now at least. At some point it will surely change.

It's probably past the statute of limitations, so here goes. I won't name the retailer, but I bought something for my wife. The retailer cheaped out and sent the package USPS with tracking. After almost a month they couldn't find any record other than they had prepared the label for shipping, so I call them up. Customer service looks up the info and sees it hasn't shipped and says they'll send another identical item. So in a few days I receive the replacement item. Forward to a few more days and I receive what looked to be the original package. Not sure what happened but I'm guessing it got stuck somewhere and when found they just tossed it in with the other deliveries. I thought about returning one, but I think it was too much of a hassle and I wasn't sure if they could do anything about it anyways.

I guess the one thing about Amazon is that you're likely dealing with someone in India. When I've done the chat thing, they didn't try to disguise the name, but I could sense that it was one person simultaneously handling multiple customers.

I have talked about buying a set of rechargeable AA batteries, which was packaged in a book sleeve with another item. It must have slipped out through a seam. I contacted them and got a replacement without having to prove anything.

Amazon is different with eBay. Amazon has some products to sell and there are other sellers on Amazon Market Place.

If you buy something for sale and ship by Amazon.com then you can expect great customer services. If you buy from a third party seller on Aamzon.com then if you have problem you need to contact them, if you can't resolve the problem with the seller then you contact Amazon, just like eBay.
