I took apart a couple ratchets and wished I had my sonic cleaner. Had a small 1 liter from a optometrist and it went south long ago.
Would like to get a 2-3 liter to clean tools, small carbs and firearms. Suggestions please

I have 4 sharpertek units in various sizes and powers, they are very reliable and clean fast.
This is one of my favorites, not cheap but good, there are other models but make sure they are Stamina XP series, they have heavy duty industrial traducers.

This is one of the cleaning solutions I use, I buy it 5 gal at a time and it last a long time, in heated tanks you can top off with water and strain it to get the removed particles out.

I have a seven gallon unit from Crest Ultrasonics. It has been very reliable and cleans very well.

It is the heated CP2600 unit.

My HF unit is about 6 years old and I've used it a lot. Is it the very best ultrasonic cleaner? Likely not, but it has cleaned many, many ratchets, tools, air motor parts and small engine carbs.

Most 1/2" ratchets are too long to sit in all the way, so I put the head for a couple cycles and then flip it around and do the handle.

I just use simple green or purple power cleaner diluted in water.

Good information - I've wanted one for years. Where did you buy it, Princess Auto or Acklands?

Hey, couldn't help notice your forum name ... who do you play for? I played Jules Verne league (i.e. 20,000 leagues beneath the NHL) goal many years ago and still miss it. Hung up the pads in late '94 ... played a father & son game in '05 and enjoyed it greatly. Always wore #35, thus my forum name.
