Toyota fuel cell Mirai has very unusual styling. The front bumper is so ugly and the dash is so weird.

How the heck the styling designers can do this kind of work without being fired ?

A face only a mother could love.

There seems to be a general prerequisite in the industry that every alternative fuel vehicle must be butt ugly.

That exterior is kinda cool looking, but the weird thing is the front door looks out of place, like it was lifted from a Camry.

That dash is just awful, I prefer conventional interiors.

I have a friend that works as an engineer for GM. He tells me that there's a procedure in place where he can schedule an appointment with any manager to bring up design concerns. This was done after the Aztec debacle.

I'm guessing Toyota doesn't have that.

You look at a 'weirdo' long enough, you eventually get used to it. Compared to some of the current designs out there, Aztec actually isn't that bad, but when it first came out, it really did look odd and out of place.

You think that gauge in the middle of the dash design would lead to having your eyes of the road longer?

Seems like the established companies tried hard to style alternative fuel and/or hybrid vehicles as abnormal as possible and the results are terrible, only the newcomer Tesla is styling it's vehicles normal way.

Model S exterior styling isn't as good as MB S-Class and Audi A8(IMO) and other luxury sedans such as Maserati ... I think it looks better than BMW 7-Series.

Somebody decided it had to be different.

Apparently nobody decided it also needed to look good.

The generation designing and buying vehicles played with Transformers growing up.
Design concerns at GM? They must have a woman running the place. Final answer.

Non-alternative fuel vehicle, in this case 2016 Lexus SUV LX570, with standout styling inside and out.

The ***** design is to make the ECOnuts driving them FEEL as uniquely special as they THINK they are. And they want to SCREAM it at the rest of us unsophisticated SMOKErs.

Why can't anybody but Tesla and Chevrolet seem to make an electric or plug-in hybrid car that just looks like a good-looking CAR.

Everybody else has to make them stand out in a crowd with styling that is going to look as dated as an Edsel within 3 years. And the Chevy Volt is actually pushing that envelope a little...
