20 year old JD garden tractor 332 /yanmar 3 cylinder diesel, JD manual calls for type f fluid. Is they're a type f synthetic fluid? If so I feel it might handle the heat in the hydro transmission better. Thanks, G-man
Thanks for the replys. Do you guys know of any drawbacks it might have in a 20year old garden tractor? It seems it's mainly for racing transmissions. It"s a hydrostatic transmission..would that make any difference? Thanks, G-man
Type F fluid is simply ATF that has very few friction modifiers. If you have an application calling for Type F, any of the Type F compatible products will work well in it.
Royal Purple has an ATF that can be used in Type F applications
