Had a friend tell me how one of her client's knee pain improved dramatically, using Turmeric (she needs knee replacement).

I'm in the same situation - facing L knee replacement, but postponing it until summer. Currently been taking Osteo Biflex for about 2 years.

Looking for info on particular brands, that have been helpful. Like any supplement, it's a chore weeding through all the options.

Nothing is going to help a worn joint with arthritis when it gets to a certain point , but no harm in trying .
I tried webber naturals and jamieson brand turmeric for knee pain and honestly felt no relief.

I make a tea at home for the Mrs. and myself with grated fresh turmeric, among other things. Apparently it is difficult for us to digest and is much easier to digest when fermented; or when coupled, for reasons beyond my understanding, with black pepper.

I can personally vouch for a supplement called Factor 5 that helped with my back pain, and did absolute wonders for my mothers knee pain. It has tumeric as one of its ingredients. Its not just a pain reliever, but I do believe it promotes healing. You do need to drink extra water since it has a tendency to dehydrate you. https://www.amazon.com/Factor-Capsules-Management-Inflammation-Product/dp/B01LY8EUQ4/ref=sr_1_5?crid=32FJ2NUUDH7Q2&keywords=factor+5&qid=1669338226&sprefix=factor+5,aps,111&sr=8-5

I'm a huge proponent of turmeric. I first started using Schwarzkümelöl when living in Germany and I honestly believe it will cure anything except possibly death.

My wife tried Turmeric in September through December of last year for a few months for knee pain. Didn’t agree with her, upset stomach, still in pain, etc. Her knee joint continued to degrade so she had to have a full knee replacement in February of this year, outpatient and was walking the halls before noon and went home at 4:00 pm the same day Of the surgery. She’s a tough determined girl and progressed really well with physical therapy, every other day for 30 days Plus An ice machine most all day every day to reduce swelling. She progressed from crutches, to a walker, to a cane, to walking without any aid in two weeks. She sleeps all night long now without pain and she can out walk me now. The knee replacement has been a true blessing for her.

I have been using it for several years. It offers good anti inflamatory and immune system support.

Good to hear surgery, PT went well and she is active after knee replacement.

Ground black pepper has piperine in it. Piperine increases the bioavailability of certain compounds, including curcumin (turmeric). You’re getting more in your bloodstream when you add the black pepper.

For inflammation and pain relief, I recommend Terry Naturally brand Curamin. It is multi-time winner of Supplement of the Year. This is by word of mouth, and because it works.

The fire is out in my case. I currently use liposomal curcumin.

My wife and I have been taking Tumeric, along with 10k UI Vit D, a Vit C, Zinc, immune booster pill and Juice Plus since about late February 2020.

It took 2-1/2 years but I finally 'got it', most likely a mild case coupled with my physical condition, wife has never been infected. We were together the entire time.

Not what you asked for, but yes, we take it, most everyday. I will say that it probably helps with inflammation....

I have a couple of autoimmune diseases that have associated inflammation. Turmeric does nothing to help. Despite the wild claims, it did nothing for joint inflammation or intestinal inflammation.

If there is a product that claimed to help knee pain/joint pain I most likely have tried it. It's different for each individual, it didn't help me. Guclosamine/Chondroitin hasn't done it for me either. I tried some other questionable stuff that didn't work for me. In short, with the damage and arthritis in my joints these things just can't relieve the level of pain and discomfort I have.
If you try these things make sure you give them time and you have to adjust the dosage that is likely to help you. 6 months on each with increasing dosage levels didn't have any effect for me. To be clear, I have had multiple surgeries and my joints (even though they work after the repairs) don't appreciate my hard usage.

Ice and compression work the best for me, ymmv.
