Trolls: It is just me?

I was JUST reading the (locked) thread that CFROMC was using as the example. It was pretty much a couple of bike snobs bashing other type of bike owners. They were as uncouth as they accused the other side to be. The rude individuals could have been read the riot act and been temporarily banned for being as obnoxious as they were.

I have always thought the BITOGers were a little more expansive of thought than the average bears, while at the same time having a critical eye towards the thoughts and concepts being discussed. That's why I stopped by and stayed.

However, the thread that started this discussion this time was just a lot of hate and discontent being fomented. Good riddance to that stuff.

IMHO. $.02. etc...

The line is when posters attack another person instead of the subject.

I can quote many an instances when the only content from certain members in a whole thread amounts to attacking another person.

Lame. Many people should be reading more and posting less.

The endless GM bashing brings out the worst in me and I admit to trolling those threads. I do make a consistent effort to counter any misinformation that I find. And there is a ton of it when it comes to bashing GM. I wont back down when someone bashes Ford or GM largely based on their opinion or some snippet they got from the evening news. There seems to be a lot of experts about the domestic manufacturers around here who really know very little other than what they read on some site or hear in some 2 minute news cast.

When it comes to other threads I try to be as helpful as my experience will allow and always defer to those who know more. Hopefully that doesn't classify me as a troll....but if so, oh well.

Amen, bro. I have personally seen lives ruined by plants moving to Mexico or just closing altogether. It also seems like the news media is misinformed when they talk about "global economy" and American made products. They always mention the Camry that has 80% domestic content and the Chevy Aveo that has little to no domestic parts. They don't EVER mention the Malibu that has 80% parts and the Toyota Prius that has no American parts. This "global" economy is another joke. We have the consumer market the whole world is after, and there are some who think defending our domestic industries is bad. We can only benefit from keeping jobs here instead of enabling communist China. I am very passionate about defending our domestic industries and others have seen me as a troll also, but who cares.

I have seen "them" mention it before. Are you sure that you want to stick with the word "EVER"?
