Trickle Charging 2 Parallel-wired auto batteries

My truck has 2 batteries and they are wired in parallel.

I want to put my trickle charger on them without isolating them from one another. It is an automatic "smart" charger. It gives high current at first, then adapts the amperage to the battery's needs. The manual doesn't talk about this issue.

Any worries here? The batteries are both 740 CCA units. I'd really rather just hook it up and go away for the weekend.

Nope, only if they were hooked up in Series... You are good to go!

Makes sense I guess, that's how the alternator charges them.

Better to be safe than sorry.......

It will just take twice as long to charge.
