I am wanting to add a tranny cooler to my daily driver and I don't have a lot of room for the conventional aluminum fin type so what is the opinion of this type of billet style of cooler. I what I think is the perfect location for this type. Does it cool as good or nearly as good as the conventional style? I don't use the vehicle to pull anything except maybe the rare occasion a flat bed trailer with less than a 1500 lbs.

What model vehicle is it? I'd consider adding a temp gauge also. What are the dimensions of the cooler in that picture? Any cooler of course will do best where it gets ambient air blowing over it, like in front of the radiator.

My last autotrans car, I put on a filter that had a temp guage fitting. After about a week of summer driving I went out and bought a cooler because of the temps I saw. It was about 6" x 8" and did a great job of bringing the temps down. The cooler you show should have enough surface area to do a good job. Do it, your transmission will thank you for it.
