Traffic light on full moon

"A Teska owner recently posted a video showing the Full Self-Driving system confusing the Moon for a yellow traffic light, which was prompting the car to slow down."

What's wrong with Tesla's FSD code? Everyone knows you're suppose to accelerate hard when you see a yellow light. 😄

You know, my main concern is people start fooling self driving with their own signs..... Imagine brake checking someone with a red traffic light in the pickup bed or other nonsense.... Tesla obviously haven't tested for these kind of idiocy on the road.

Patiently waiting for the day when this entire self-driving scam is exposed.

A decade ago the buzzword was "cloud", now it's "AI".... and "blockchain". Can't wait for the next marketing gimmick.

It activates pneumatic powered, laser aimed BB machine guns that are hidden under the turn signals that seek and destroy the target.
You guys forget that Elon is so far ahead of everyone else that he already thought of that feature.

Little did you know you were talking to the BB gun king...lol

I believe the car was not actually self-driving in that instance. Quote from video poster on twitter, emphasis mine: "The car thinks the moon is a yellow traffic light and wanted to keep slowing down."

Reviewer Bjorn Nyland also suggested that LED driving lights on trucks can cause the Tesla systems to take evasive action. I think he referred to the height and high-frequency switching possibly contributing.

Not sure maybe Jeff can weight in.

The video did not show that the car " wanted to keep slowing down"

I have programmed my car to punch it when the light turns yellow.

Kidding aside, I cannot speak to this out of experience.
But I could see it happening. It would no have to be on AP, as it could be part of the driver assist just like moving out of your lane without blinker.
Maybe I'll do a little research.
