I was pretty surprised at how many items TS was blowing out at the Lynden WA store. I mean I buy gates and posts and such there, cheaper than HD, Lowe's and the ag places about. But don't look at much else.

Check if your local store has clearance racks.

Tons of DeWalt and Porter Cable and other tools. I was so tempted to buy more tools I won't use that much (everyone needs that hobby)

All sorts of odds and ends. A really nice camp shovel, a low end emergency socket socket set ($10) for the van. Some clips and clamps for the van, etc

I only randomly hit a TS store once in a while for stuff for my horses. Worth checking when in there. A year ago they put Valeo brand wiper blades on close out for like $8 each (normally $15) I bought what they had in my size and ran to another TS and picked up some more. I have a three year supply. :)
Another time they were closing out Pennzoil Platinum jugs in various weights for $10 to $12! I went to like four stores and bought all they had.

I know the Lynden store, as I visit when going to the fair or a horse show at the fairgrounds.

Our local TS rarely has anything of use on sale-clearance except for penetrating oil and brake clean. Never oil, transmission fluid, or antifreeze.

Our s

Our stores rave have an entire isle of clearance stuff. Mostly stuff that's useless here like windshield scrapers and broken bird feeders.
They had plenty of junk and junk tools mixed in. Wife and I eagerly (with dog on leash) dug through the stuff. They must of just piled some "new" stuff there so of course it's a matter of timing. The shovel should have just been put back on the rack, normally around $19, $9. Perfect for the camper van and I already have a folding army shovel.

There was probably 5-6 DeWalt 20V tool returns, prices on those were NOT worth the gamble IMHO. Maybe 20-30% under new, no returns, so complete gamble unless you want to chase warranty (I suppose one could) if non-working. If you need that specific drill or saw....just maybe.........

The problem I have with clearance racks is I buy things I don't really need or have extras already. The big find clearance items I purchased were 6 very nice snow shovels from Walmart for $3 each. They originally were about $15.00. We used them for family BINGO gifts on Christmas Eve and the people that wanted them were able to pick them out from lots of other gifts.

40+ miles from here is the closest one we have. I have to take a ride out there, they have some pretty good deals from time to time.

Mine was still blowing out Reese towing stuff. Picked up a bunch of 5/8" hitch pins at ~$2

There's a uni-bit kit left over from the holidays with two unibits and a spring loaded punch for $7.99. I use the punches as intended on sheetmetal, but one could go in your glass-breaking kit in the vehicle. One of the unibits is huge, and even if it only works once, it's worth $8 as there's no cleaner or faster way to put nice holes in sheetmetal, esp up to 1-3/8"

Very little at our store to write about. I try to avoid unless I need bolts or fittings right now.
