Toyota Tercel Axle Removal

Has anyone ever removed a front drive axle from a Toyota Tercel? Does it just pull out of the transaxle or do you have to go inside and remove a retainer? Any help would be appreciated.

Pop it out with two pry bars or big screwdrivers.
One quick, hard, pry, will do it.
