Mahzurrah!
We've had this BRAND-NEW Toyota Rav4 Base at work for 2 and a half months and 3,500 miles. The seat already looks like this.

Ridiculous. I suggested they buy a Mitsubishi for 10k less but noooooooo.

I don't normally condone driver-facing video cameras but might make an exception. You have an abusive driver, time to figure out whom. Or just look through the employee parking lot for someone who has a bad seat in their own car.

It’s that legendary Toyota quality.
I do like the excuses though. Basically OP is sitting on it wrong 🤣🤣🤣

Refering to my post. Not a fanboi and not an excuse. Not sure a carmaker should have to design elements for every possible thing a person can come up with, like velcro on the back pockets . The instance I knew about the guy ranted to his toyota dealer until they replaced the seat cover then admitted he discovered it was the velcro doing the damage. In the photo above it does look like the buckle is pointed in an odd direction. If seat belt webbing which is smooth to the touch is causing that damage then there should be another place up higher where the shouldler belt would cross the seat. If the webbing is causing it then there is a problem with the fabric.

Someone go a little overboard with belt accessories? A family friend...one of those doomsday prepper types looks like he is loaded for war wherever he goes. Flashlight, big pocket knife, multi-tool, key ring, cell phone holder, etc on his belt at all times. Often times a pistol too (yes he has an LTC).

All of his seats look like that...but way worse.

Not a seat problem, it’s an occupant problem. What are they wearing when they sit there?

Wut ? Not normal there ? 🙄

My 2005 Tacoma wore through the bolsters just like that in about 40K miles. Just crappy seat fabric. My 96 4runner with 320K miles on it had cloth seats that were in perfect condition when it was sold.
