Well put.
Kinda like using a long 1/2" breaker bar to apply more torque when necessary. More twist!

And thus, he (Archimedes) created the Chevy SB 383 Stroker (4.030" x 3.750"), not to be confused with Chrysler's BB engine of the same displacement.

He also did some stuff with ascertaining the purity of gold in a king's crown, but that's secondary to the engine stuff.
