Came across these 1/2 torque sticks allegedly for controlling the amount of torque applied to a bolt with an impact wrench. About $60 US equivalent. Does anyone use something like these?

That’s a nice impact. Had no idea Proto made impacts. I may have to give them a look.That does not really matter if you are feathering the trigger, I rarely take mine off the max setting. Some are easier to feather than others, my Proto is easy the old IR231 not as easy but doable. I think it has to do with the trigger mechanism design.
This is the one I use most, the thing is incredibly balanced with the handle forward design.
