Torque for trailer wheel

I have an old Road Boss 12.5GVW dual axle flatbed trailer. Had to remove a wheel to get flay fixed The wheel is an 8 lug rim so pretty heavy duty.

I am thinking 120 ft lbs.

No readable sticker on the trailer.

Depends on the diameter of the lug studs. 120lbs is good for 9/16" studs. It's a little much for 1/2" studs.

FYI our travel trailer has 1/2" studs and calls for 90-120 ft/lbs.

Maybe it has high grade studs? Not second guessing the manufacturer, but normally half inch studs are rated for around 85 or 90 foot pounds and 9/16" call for 120 to 140.

Don’t forget rim material is important. Don’t want to warp a rim over torquing. I’ve done that before.

Yeah. The diameter of the stud. It's same as if you went to the hardware store and bought a 1/2" or 9/16" bolt.
