'Top Notch' brand hub bearings

Hello everyone!

It"s that time for wheel bearing replacement on my 2014 Mazda CX-5.

I bought a Top Notch hub bearing off RockAuto, looks well made. It has a 'Geoguard' coating on the hub bearing and included hardware. Made in Malaysia as are a lot of the more popular brands.

Anyone have experience with this brand of hub bearing? What has been your experience?

I couldn't find any info on the site for Top Notch bearings, their brake pads seem well regarded on here, figured I'd try the bearing. I plan to install it early next week when time allows.

Top Notch is a house brand of United Auto Supply, which supplies independent parts stores. They should be as good as any other house brand

That was my thinking as well, probably made in the same factory as one of the big brands too. Kind of like how tire manufacturers have sub-brands that use the same technology albeit at a lower price point except without the marketing overhead cost.

Made in same factory and made to same specs are different. You won't know till you try it.

About $40-50 less than the major brands.

True it is made to a different spec, this one is externally coated, I haven't seen that before with other brands, it's appealing as I live in the rust belt. Internal construction, that's up for debate. I'm willing to give 'em a try.
