Starting to look at tires for my wife's X3 xdrive30i (245/50/19XL) It currently has run flat Bridgestone Dueller Alenzas on it, but not a fan of them due to road noise, the ride and awful snow performance. Looking at non run flat tires (probably will add a spare), but I'm not as up on what the good all season tires are these days. Priorities are quiet, snow performance and a smooth ride. What does everyone recommend? Thanks!

My MB has Pirelli's on it. The MOE (Mercedes Original Equipment) version of run flats. When I went to my local tire store, they said most customers change to Firestone when they want to move away from run flats.
I see the Firestone "Weathergrip" is available in my size, 245/45R 18, and they get good reviews.

Michelin CrossClimate2 if you can’t do 2 sets of tires.
But if snow performance is absolute priority, two sets are always only solution.

Was looking at those, they look nice. Haven't had Michelins for awhile but the last set I had cracked pretty bad and looked ugly. But that was 15 years ago!

I know that snow performance is best with snow tires, so maybe I exaggerated a bit that it's the top priority, but the tires now are just awful, even a dusting is problem with them and you're all over the road. I'm used to my Jeeps with triple mountain peak rated tires and real 4WD, those just stick to the road like glue in the snow.

CC2 is your best bet if you want to compromise. They are 3PMSF and will outperform any A/T tire with 3PMSF. It has excellent wet performance.

+1 for CC2. Other than slightly more noise than OE tires, they're working very well year round on the Crosstrek. I was also planning to put on a set of CC2 on wife's NX, but she tells me the OE Bridgestones are just fine.
