Same here, tires stay on same side of vehicle, just front to rear and back, for directional and non directional tires, Sportage is AWD too. May be out of laziness but works out just fine.

I do rear to front then cross fronts to opposite rear if my tires are non directional. My winter tires are mostly directional so they stay on same side and just get swapped rear/front each winter at install. I don't rack that many miles so each spring the 3 season get that and each fall the winters get that.

Nissan has always recommended just a straight front to back and vice versa rotation. I’ve always found that you we’ll eventually have tires that pull right, especially the way Ohio paves their roads. I’ve got what appears to be 4 straight stock rims, yet there’s a vibration from one. Road force hasn’t fixed it or identified it. I’ve got a second set of the same rims and no 80mph vibration. Today starts the process of replacing 1 wheel at a time and driving on a stretch of road that I know will vibrate in hopes of finding it. Hopefully my instincts are correct on the 1st try.
Front to back, and back to front. Every time I get a new set of tires, if I criss-cross them, I end up getting weird pulls and vibrations that never go away. Every. Freaking. Time.
Since doing back to front, front to back only for the last few sets of tires, I havent had an issue. Coincidence? Yea probably, but enough to make me paranoid to the point I wont swap sides anymore.

My CX5 AWD vehicle. I have discovered that my driving style and roads I drive, that NO rotation is more then "Good enough"
My mileage varies.
The last time I got four new tires on my AWD CX-5, I didn't subsequently rotate them. I ended up needing to replace the fronts after about a year and a half, while the rears had 7-8/32 of tread left. I'm now aiming for something close to a 2:1 lifespan on them, and I'll replace all four when either set needs it.
To clarify, my front left tire is more worn than the rest. Don’t know if this happened prior to replacing suspension components and alignment or not. Im wondering how to rotate to reduce Weston the current left front tire and to even out wear.
Pick a pattern that cycles all four tires through all four positions and use it consistently. Then do it more often than you have been doing.
