There was an oil was sold in dollar stores in bottles smaller than a quart. There was a lawsuit about it but you had to prove with rather complicated documentation that your engine broke because of it. I doubt anyone got a $.01.

That specific viscosity grade is not on the API list of approved oils and it's not approved to carry the starburst symbol. There will likely be no API donut on the back of the bottle.

If a company feels it's OK to lie to you right to your face then don't encourage them by giving them your money. At $8 a quart you can do better locally.
 
Looks legit. Proper wording and symbols on the bottle. Just some other companies products with someone else name on it like a store brand.

The junk stuff was labeled ambiguously.
