Hello,
Sometimes when I’m stopped at a light I feel slight RPM fluctuations in Drive.
I hooked up my ELM scanner to take a look.
I haven’t managed to catch the actual fluctuations on the scanner since they happened so rarely, but I did notice the throttle seems to be opening too much when car is idle in Drive.
Should I clean the throttle body?

2016 Mazda 3, 2.0L non turbo. 73,000 miles.

I’ve attached a screenshot of the graphs,
Thanks.

Thanks for the note! Indeed, my STFT is negative, but it’s around -4%, which isn’t an extreme value. LTFT is almost zero (0.8%), which shows the system balanced overall. Do you think it’s still worthwhile to check fuel pressure or injectors in this situation?

Clean the throttle body and dump in a bottle of Techron at your next fill up to see if it helps. Could have a sticky injector.
