My son just passed his few months ago next week, 26 dollar raise. Proud of him went in the trades and can go anywhere.

Yes indeed. There’s a lot of work everywhere. They are doing a Google plant here that I believe has 5 electrical contractors on it.
If I was single, I’d give the “road dog” life a try. Maybe work in the oil fields or in Vegas or something. Alas, I’m not that rough and tough of a person. I like coming home at night to my wife and dogs. Plus, hotel rooms and non home cooked meals. Ewww.
