Also known as monkey balls, but the tree is most commonly known as Osage Orange. Wood from the Osage Orange tree is renown for being used to make bows for archery dating back to pre colonial America.

In our family we just called them hedge trees so kinda one of those things hard to break. We used them for corner posts.. and if we wanted to melt the stove threw them in.
