The beach was a little weird yesterday. It started out normal.

A closer look at the Marine Layer
Gulls and pelicans mingle on the beach. So far nothing unusual.
Carrion. Not unusual if it weren't weren't for the lovingly done decoration. Apparently, a flock of birds did a ritual dance and probably squawked a Gregorian chant.
I happen upon a dozen roses. A little weird, too.
I'm finding oranges, apples and a small water melon. I also found an unused Zeiss optical wipe in its sealed pouch. This must have been quite the party.
I'm not one to waste good fruit and I keep the melon. Maybe a dog has urinated all over it? It smells ok.
On the way back I notice either mutant or ninja tabi prints. I'm leaning towards ninja assassins. So I'm getting out of there with my melon.

It's Coal Harbour. Very busy, not a fishing spot at all.
Good fishing is not far away however. Unfortunately Salmon has been closed for recreational fishing for quite some time now
