I could not get past the commissary, just inside the gate. Your pics of NorCal sights and eats are most enjoyable. Off the beaten path for sure.
Thanks. Forget the Grove unless you have an invitation. The Highland Dell Lodge in Monte Rio, a restaurant overlooking the Russian River, is quite nice. Last time I ate there, dinner was rung in by an impressive earth trmor. Everyone's phone went off with an "early warning alert" half a second in advance.

I used to take a dozen or so sleeves of soda when I went on the road for month. I kept all the empty cans and brought home for the recycling. I would up in MA or somewhere that did deposit on cans. I fed all my cans into the machine and got a ticket to take to the cashier and got a few dollars for them. I found out later I wasn't supposed to as they were "foreign" cans not domestic. But they went to recycling either way so I didn't feel too bad about it.

Bicyclists on Highway 50, Nevada: Ben and Allan were bicycling the length of Highway 50 through Nevada this past weekend. They did the same trip 40 years ago and were commemorating their original ride.

It was a very hot ride this weekend. They had a support vehicle with another fellow driving and keeping on top of their situation. I didn't get his name and wasn't able to photograph the Mercedes Sprinter that they were using.

Fireworks 💥 at the Salem Fair in Salem Virginia. Excuse the light in the middle of them the place was so packed it’s the only place i could stand. This is the most attendance that the have had since 1988 when it opened originally. No one was expecting it to be this busy. I hate crowds but I’ve been having withdrawals from the quarter pusher machine so I told my parents we will go to the fair and I’ll pay for the quarter pusher and the food they wanted since it was their anniversary. My dad forked me out of $20 for his turkey leg lol. But to be fair I said I’d pay and I did so yeah lol. I just wasn’t expecting it to be $20. The police had to get involved when we were entering because one guy refused to show his ID you have to be 18 to walk around unsupervised and he looked young finally he showed ID after holding up the line for about 5 minutes.
