Robert Pershing Wadlow (1918 - 1940) was the tallest person in recorded history. Sometimes known as the Alton Giant and the Giant of Illinois, he reached a height of 8 ft 11.1 in (2.72 m).

Here he stands alongside his parents Harold Sr and Addie, and his four siblings Eugene, Betty, Harold Jr. and Helen.

It could be a very nice first car. Is Junior ready?
He’s getting his permit this summer. We still need to go through it real good, but it seems to be a tight car other than the A/C and the lower control arms. We were going to give him the Chrysler and buy my wife a new car, but we’re struggling to find anything new that really excites us. 🤔
It’s not a done deal yet, but we’ll figure it out today. 🍻

We have a friend with one. It is quite a joy to be around. It will even heard children. Lol

I guess there’s a called a Texas cattle dog too. Not sure what the difference is minus size, but the one another friend has will climb fences. Lol

Yes, the herding instinct is always there it seems. My wife and daughter would be playing with him and inevitably, he would be nipping at their calves and ankles. 😂
They are an absolute joy to be around. Very high energy dogs that can keep up with any active family easily. 🍻

I usually multi-task when I am on here and peek throughout the day on my cell.
That said when I get back to my desktop the difference in pictures is amazing........ best seen on a desktop for sure.
Just saying folks...

The boys loaded me up yesterday at work haha. Never tried any of these except the Miller Lite and Busch Light so we will see how they do. Several of them are bringing me stuff on Tuesday too. I took off Monday because I wanted to and in case I have too much to drink tomorrow haha. Tomorrow is my 21st. Probably going to get drinks at the Japanese place where they cook in front of you. I really want to try a pina colada so that’s probably what I’ll try and then I’ll drink probably the Bootlegger on Monday or maybe even tomorrow haha. My dad said what the heck is all of this he said he has never had any of these lol. I’ll pretty much drink anything out of the things I’ve tried except Natural Light.

Always Jim. Just want to have a good time on my birthday. The porter at work is a retired sheriff and he told me once he had to pick up a boy off the sidewalk who had his 21st and had gotten alcohol poisoning. That’s not anyway I want to spend my birthday. I like to have a little something occasionally. Never on a regular basis though. I figure a couple tomorrow won’t hurt. Don’t worry I’m not going to drink the whole Four Loko either that will knock me out haha. I will try it though.

I put new wheels, tires, tonneau cover, and sport decal on my 2014 Ford F-150. The wheels and tires were new take off's from a 2023 Ford F-150 Lariat Sport. I posted a picture of the truck before the appearance mods.

Got me a car. 1994 Toyota Camry. It was gifted to me for my birthday. 2.2 automatic. Will make an excellent commuter to work. It rides and runs amazing. Needs a valve cover gasket and transmission fluid and filter changed and that’s it really. Saved from the crusher cause that’s where it was going had I not been in the right place at the right time. More pictures to come later.

I spent a few days on the road in SoCal. I have already posted pictures from a small car meet in the Vehicles forum. Here are more pictures from this little road trip.

On the way to San Luis Obispo.

Stopped at the famous Madonna Inn and had dinner at their restaurant. It's like being in a David Lynch movie, only with terrible taste. Pink everywhere. Fat cherubs floating in midair. Gold paint everywhere. Comically bad food. The Black Forest cake was alright - not too sweet but no booze in it. We asked for one slice and got a slightly bigger piece. I don't know how the rooms look at the Madonna Inn. Each one has a different theme.

That's the ladies' room.

Saw a Patek ad along the highway. How odd and seemingly out of place.

Otterly charming in Morro Bay. There were a few juvenile otters among the adults.

Driving south on 1 past San Simeon. You can see the Hearst Castel perched atop the mountain in the background, It took Duck Tales money to build this modest home. There were zebras roaming the grasslands. Too far for my phone cam.

The famous Julia Pfeiffer Burns waterfall. We encountered a number of people from many corners of the world.

Going north over the same bridge I showed you earlier.

Check out the two old cars coming towards us.

The Point Sur Lighthouse can be seen on the right-hand slope of the point. This location is 25 miles south of Monterey.

Miss Moneypenny did once again very well. Two people and baggage meant being borderline over cargo capacity. I'm still worried about not having a spare tire. I gave up on the RFs. Too harsh and 50 miles range on a flat is not enough anyway much of the time. I got tire Twizzlers and a pump.
