I got two jugs of Pennzoil ultra Platinum! The neighbor just walked across the yard and gave them to my folks. He was using it in his GT Mustang 🐎, but he has since bought a GT500 and I think he's going to use 5w50. I opened them and there was nothing wrong with them. Kind of excited I haven't seen a Pennzoil ultra Platinum jug in a long time and the last ones that I did were that gray metallic colour.

Yeah same here. The last Ultra I saw were quarts of the first generation Pennzoil Ultra in the gray bottoms at this tiny small town Walmart. I honestly haven't seen any Ultra since. I don't know why Pennzoil even still makes this stuff.

Stopped by the National Iwo Jima Memorial on the New Britain/Newington line in CT.

Memorial was spearheaded by an actual survivors group. Over 6,000 US servicemen were killed, 100 being from CT.

The memorial is obvious a reenvisionment of the classic Joe Rosenthal photo; the memorial contains actual rocks from Mt. Sirabachi; figures are "larger than life sized"
All sides of the memorial had text, one side had a map of the actual island and troop movements. Ground bricks had people's names and there was a side memorial for non combatants (chaplins and medics) Memorial also included a time capsule to be opened on the 100th anniversary of the battle. The time capsule contained donated items relating to the combat. Apologies for the dearth of photos; Fall setting sun and black polished granite made getting good photos difficult.

Well kept grounds; right off Rt-9 (in the background)

Will mention this visit was more emotional than i expected; Lots of kids with far more mettle than I have gave it their all.

IwoJima

One of my favorite Frank moments.

"This is Frank Costanza. You think you can keep us out of Florida? We're moving in lock, stock and barrel. We're gonna be in the pool. We're gonna be in the clubhouse. We're gonna be all over that shuffleboard court. And I dare you to keep me out!"

I spotted a Beetle today well I guess now we say yesterday at the polls when we went to vote. This is the same one I seen probably close to 4 or 5 months ago in a different part of town. He leaves the keys in it for some reason maybe he wants me to take it on a test drive lol.
