Judging by previous posts of record store finds, you must have quite a collection!
I sure wish that I had the collection that my Sister had. She had a lot from the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s, as well as my Mother’s old records.
She had stacks upon stacks of 33’s, 45’s, and some 78’s thrown in here and there. Her collection and my Mother’s collection combined amounted to a vast and varied catalog.
Unfortunately, one of my Brother-in-laws family members made off with the lot after she passed.

I have my parents' and some of my uncle's records (50s rock, rockabilly, and doowop, and 60s garage rock). My own collection is a few thousand lps and 45s of 60s garage and psych rock.

Aw man I bet there was some sweet stuff in that collection! That's so unfortunate what happened to it.

There’s no work to be done, so it is indeed “Happy Hour” in my garage. so now, it’s decision time. 🤔🍻

She was into the classic rock like Led Zeppelin, the Doors, Rolling Stones, ZZ Top, Styx, etc. She even had albums up to the early 80’s like The Police, Night Ranger, Sammy Hagar, Duran Duran, Def Leppard, etc. Her collection shaped a lot of my musical tastes. It was truly a vast collection of rock music.
My Mother was into the classic country like Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, George Jones, and stuff all the way back to Hank Williams. She was also into big band music which I never had an appreciation for until I met my Wife. I never could get into the country music though, that’s just not my bag man. 😂
I remember my Mother being in love with Elvis, but who wasn’t back then? 🤔 Some of those 78’s were Elvis records.
I’m a pretty mellow guy, but if I could have found out exactly which one took off with her collection, that would have changed. Nobody would fess up, but the truth of it all is that records don’t grow legs and walk out on their own. It was a sorry deal for sure.

Frogs in the Birdbath
Sweetie had a birdbath in her garden, and it had a small casting of a frog sitting in its center. Over the years it was photographed many times, and I got some decent shots. One afternoon the tenants' little girl, Sophie, placed her toy frog in the birdbath, and I got a snap that I liked.

Man those Elvis Sun label 78s are worth big $$$$. I remember we were on a family vacation, driving through California, when they suddenly came interrupted the radio program and said Elvis has just been found dead. I was maybe 7 years old I think. It's so weird thinking back on that now knowing I heard it live when it happened. The 50s were my parents' generation. Lots of Elvis, Platters, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Jimmy Reed, etc I got from them. My uncle (mom's younger brother) was a 60s era kid. All of The Doors lps, plus a bunch of really obscure 60s rock lps. Then my dad's younger brother gave me all his Rolling Stones, Beatles, Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd, etc lps. Then both my aunts have a few sweet albums they won't part with haha.
