The Cap is from the sorriest franchise in the history of professional sports. The franchise has to put up a flag after the game to identify who won or lost the game, as the crowd in the park doesn't watch the game and the crowd at their park is unable to read a scoreboard.

Having grown up in the SF Bay Area since the late '50s I've made many drives to Santa Cruz, driving there myself as early as '68. The West Cliff Drive area has changed a lot over the years!West Cliff Drive in Santa Cruz.
In my wild and crazy youth my friends and I used to camp and party at Panther Beach, one time unknowingly collecting poison oak in the darkness and making a campfire - only to put half of us in the hospital two days later. It wasn't our skin, it was our lungs from the smoke! Then my wife and I frequented both Red White and Blue and Bonny Doon beaches in the late '70s and throughout the '80s. Great times.
That entire section of coastline from Santa Cruz north to San Gregorio is exceptionally beautiful. I proposed to my wife in '75 at San Gregorio Beach! That entire coast line is a big part of my life. I have many, many great memories of the times I spent there.
