Sweet Peas
A friend and I were having a light dinner at an outdoor café while her husband and his band were playing some music for the customers. There was a vase on our table with some Sweet Pea flowers, and since I had one of my cameras handy, I snapped a shot ...

My once a week date night with my son. We did normal guy things - took some batteries back for core charge, bought oil and filter for what he refers to as the "action wagon" (The Buick), got a couple new shirts and supplies for his church camp next week, and ended with his favorite style of restaurant.

Is that a daddy long leg?
Although commonly mistaken for one, that's not a spider.

Looks like a type of 'harvestmen' arachnid...

https://www.callnorthwest.com/2019/11/the-myth-of-the-grandaddy-long-legs/

The term 'daddy long legs' is often misused.

I've never seen one that looks like it had "tiger stripes" like that one. It almost looked like the Mr. T of (what I immediately assumed was a) Daddy Long Legs.

Daddy Long Legs I remember look like this: (I am not a scientist.)

I can now Google in 30 seconds what would have taken a weekend at a library to find... Pholcidae?

"action wagon" (The Buick),

Don't quote me @DriveHard but we may have been calling our Olds the "tank" when I was young. Brougham..

Stopped by Stodgy Brewing Co. just down the street from our friends house. I had a couple of Hoppy Farmhouse brews that were pretty good.

Our adventure rig for the week. It comes complete with a 6 speed manual gearbox. Our friend says she wouldn’t have it any other way.

Nice pic of you and your son. (y)

That's a very interesting and appealing front bumper on the Toyota. Do you know anything about ... who made it, maybe a local outfit. Your friend has good taste in trucks.

C4 fabrications from South Dakota made the bumper and it came with the hidden winch. She had it powder coated and installed down here in Colorado.
Yes, she bought this truck new in 2008 and it has a whopping 143,000 +/- miles on it.
She works at the Budweiser brewery that’s not too far from her house, so it doesn’t get a lot of miles piled up in it, that and she has a Subaru Legacy that she calls her run about and grocery getter.

Thanks so much. After seeing the bumper I started poking around and found the C4's site. I was a bit surprised, and pleased, when you mentioned them. (y)
