Like the crew! The Texan wasn't armored as it was a trainer, at least for us. The Mustang had some armor, but given that the canopy rim is about mid bicep level, one still feels a bit exposed.

Quiet? Absolutely not. Elegant? Sure, in a “there are now extension cords everywhere and it looks like I’m stealing my neighbors power” white trash kind of way. But I don’t care because after working 12 hours I now have a working fan and I can open my fridge.

And for the BITOG purists, after some runtime I’ll dump the factory fill (yes, it came filled from the factory. Big “NO TILT” logos on box) and fill it back up with some of my HPL Supercar 0w30

Saab 96 by IXO in 1/43. This is Monte Carlo rally version. The Saab 96 was made from 1960 to 1980 and undwent several facelifts. This is a ca 1963 version. Many Saabs, including this one had a freewheel feature. Because power would come back once you stepped on the throttle this was a legal feature.
