Thread for photos that 100% do not violate any Terms Of Service, not political, not too lewd, no gas price pics etc.

I believe that might be a photo of their very first location in San Antonio. It's at least the same photo from their website when they talk about starting in San Antonio in 1947. And their site claims to have 42 locations now. It would be nice if they are making a comeback. They also now own Fuddrucker's, or vice versa.
I think there may be an error on their web-site as that picture identifies the El Paso location. 41 or 42 restaurants still open- you would likely be a great accountant/ CPA.....

A major failing of this site software is the inability to zoom photos for a better look. Yeah, there's a feature, but when you click a photo it first shrinks it down and then when you click the + to zoom it returns it to the size it was before doing anything. Total fail.
I suspect you are on a desktop as on a android cell it works perfectly.

I took 15 hours of accounting going on 50 years ago. I started out planning on an accounting degree. The only part I actually enjoyed was oil and gas accounting. Moved on to other things. I do like numbers. And I don't doubt there may be errors on their, and anyone's, sites.

Luby's Cafeteria- El Paso, TX.

Lot's of greatest stuff to see in the picture, from parking meters (likely one penny for this era), to safe cracking. No cowboy hats on the gentlemen, I assume picture is from about 1948-1950.

This is the same Luby's that went on to have over 200 restaurants at its peak. Luby's now has just 41 restaurants.

Funny how this place actually exists, in El Paso

Music would play and Feleena would whirl…

I have no problem selecting a picture, and zooming in. Works every time. I’m on IOS, though, what are you using?

I'm on an all-in-one desktop PC running Windows 47 or whatever the heck the latest they pushed on us is.
Well - just tried it on my PC. Windows machine - latest version. UHD screen. Using Chrome. And using Edge.

Clicked on the picture - was able to zoom easily.

I'm not an IT guy, but since I can do it with an Apple device and a windows device, using multiple browsers - I'm going to suggest that it is not the site software, but rather a problem with your software.

The board automatically resizes some photos when uploaded, depending on how gigantic they are. The board doesn't want everyone uploading 10GB photos, lol. The size you see on the screen also depends on how the member posting the photo sized it on the screen after it was uploaded. Nothing really wrong with the board software. If you want to zoom way in, download the photo to your computer and open it in a photo viewer.

On a PC, all you can do it click on the photo to see if it displays larger to it's raw uploaded resize by the baord. On a cell phone (like my Android), I can actually zoom in way more because that's a feature of a cell phone. Maybe if someone had a touch screen on their PC they might be able to zoom in more, like on a cell phone. If not, then the photo would have to be downloaded to their PC and then zoom way in with a photo viewer.

I've got an Asus PC. Windows 11 Home v. 22H2. Firefox v117.0, latest version. Edge v116.0.1938.69, latest version. Chrome v116.0.5845.141, latest version updated this morning.

Using the Luby's photo my results are as follows. I don't know the actual dimension numbers so I'm making up representative numbers that illustrate what happens. I go in the thread. I scroll to post #11,858. I look at the picture which is size 90x90. I want to see it larger so I click on it. The system drops all text etc. and puts just the photo center screen but now in size 70x70. I click the magnifier with the + symbol and it enlarges the photo. To size 90x90. So effectively there is no magnification, just a shifting of position on screen and removal of text.

Yes, phones and tablets are good for pinch zooming. but the zoom function with the button should partially do the same. It just isn't programmed correctly it seems.
