I remember exploring the Cape from Woods Hole to P-Town one summer over 30 years ago. Thanks for reminding me of those days. The lighthouse looks familiar. I looked it up. Its location is incorrectly marked on Google Maps and on Google Earth, miles from its actual position.

Was pulled over in East Canton, OH for doing the speed limit ON THE DOT coming into town because it was raining, and I was going "too fast for conditions"

Have I ever mentioned I HATED living in Ohio?
In Virginia they got my friend for that too. Cop walked up and said I’m sure you know why I stopped you it’s obvious. He said no sir I don’t. The cop said you’re going the posted speed limit in the rain. And any speed limit is automatically reduced by 10mph in any weather except clear and said he couldn’t give him a break since he had already radioed it in to dispatch. My friend went to court over it and won, the judge said the cop was being unreasonable and clarified that it’s his discretion whether to write the ticket or not it doesn’t matter if they have already radioed it in. And the conditions were very light the rule is in place for major conditions like flooding or roads covered in snow etc. Not a drizzly rain.

I’ll be honest I flew by a state trooper the other day in the rain going 10 over lol 😂 he didn’t get me. He sees me every day go by so I guess he just leaves me alone haha. He typically waves and points with a thumbs up. Our porter at work who used to be a cop said that guy likes my plates so I think that’s why he doesn’t mess with me lol. Usually the state police don’t mess with people here anyway it’s always the particular city and county cops here. The one who got my friend was in my county.

Got to drive a 2022 Bolt 1LT at work today, very nice
Shame it's the last year

It's face is rather unfortunate, I kinda liked the 2021 look better
But the '22 has far better infotainment
It says Fleet on the window sticker, yet I can't find any decontenting
It's been a hit with local city/state agencies, I'd have thought it would come in a flat/matte high visibility vest color 🦺
Odd for GM, it's a base 1LT with the driver confidence package

The general public concerns me sometimes

A few pictures from my drive through Sonoma, over the Mayacamas Mountains and then back to Marin.

My first stop was a famous roadside eatery, Lou's Luncheonette, formerly the Fremont Diner. They are known for their fried chicken, which is deadly. You know where to find the food pictures.

There's outdoor seating behind the building so you may more efficiently breathe the pollen-enriched Sonoma country air.

The next stop is in the town of Napa through which the Napa River flows. There's a nice promenade along the shoreline and you can even go for a gondola ride and pretend you are in Venice. You can see the gondola under a blue tarp next to the floating dock.

Nearby is one of the two restaurants one of the famous Iron Chefs owns. I'd already eaten AM-style so I passed up the opportunity at spending big bucks. Here's the entrance to the eatery.

There are a few historical buildings in the area, including an old silo and barn.

We then headed west toward the Mayacamas Mountains.

We drove up a winding road that was under construction, often there was one-lane traffic only, stop signs, and hairpin turns. In the picture the road is still pretty nice.

We made it over the pass.

We finally got back to Marin. This is a view of the Bay from China Camp State Park.

especially from the point that SEGA was a bottom shelve game system against Nintendo and PlayStation. Although it's very common in parts of Russia to see cars completely done up or over as to keep car theft down by easier identity measures. APB! ... 🚨 🚓....guy driving with a paper sack over his head.

My presumption that the cat that I’ve seen from time to time may have killed Frank was incorrect. I haven’t seen Frank for a few weeks, but as I was out watering my “Spilled Wine Weigela” this morning, there he was behind the shed.
I know it’s Frank because of his broken back leg, you can just see it in the photo, it’s been like that for some time now. He was just chillin’ out watching me do my thing. Sorry about the poor photo quality, I need to upgrade my phone. 😏
