I have not seen one Honeybee this year, only the bees like this one. What type of bee is this? Bumblebee?
Common bumblebees as far as I know, yeah.

I see honeybees here and there, but I don't recall seeing them in any greater numbers than I still do these days. Carpenter bees, bumblebees, hornets, wasps, yellowjackets, etc were always way more common sights for me than honeybees since I was a little kid.

Heading out for a 40 mile bicycle ride to the Cypress Mountain Road area last summer. The area is very remote and there's no cellphone service. Notice too that just 11.67 miles into the ride I've already climbed 1,339 feet.

It was on the toasty side so I stopped to take a picture. But when rolling it didn't feel too bad. Put on sunscreen, wear a white jersey and helmet, stay hydrated and you're good to go.

As an aside, at my furthest point out I came across two guys who were stopped creekside in a pickup truck. I slowed and they warned me two bears were in the creek, heading in the same direction I was. I picked up my pace, but you have to climb out of the area, some sections exceeding 12%. In other words you're not going that fast. I was relieved to finally get out of there!

Bye bye old friend. Sold my 1990 Mazda B2200 to a friend who collects and restores them. Still have my 1989 which was my first car and I’m not selling it. I decided to part ways with this one and put the money towards the 2002 Chevy Blazer. Sold to a friend of a friend. Sometimes you realize you have more than you have time for which is what this is. Plus I’d rather have the running Blazer than this non running rusty truck. The guy was looking for a whole truck the junkyard would not sell him a whole truck because they make more money selling parts individually. I asked $800 took $500 since the guy had to rent a trailer. I said well that’s $500 back in my pocket took a loss of $100 but heck I talked it over with my dad and said yeah let’s do it. Freed up driveway space and that’s $500 down towards the Blazer.
