Driving on 1 towards Valley Ford. With all the green hills this time of the year it's a bit like driving through the English countryside with all the cows and sheep, The old section of the road was a lot more fun to drive but is still accessible.
Bambi didn't make it.
The Gleason Beach Alignment Project north of Bodega Bay is almost done. The 850-foot-long bridge is already open for traffic, bypassing a stretch of the old Highway 1 you can see to the left. Construction has been going on for a couple of years. I already posted shots last year when the bridge was not yet open.
Nearby Salmon Creek Beach. Specifically, I think this is North Salmon Creek Beach but I may be wrong. There's over a mile of public fishing along the creek. simple image uploader
I also drove all the way out to Bodega Head. Going back and coming down I could see the entrance to Bodega Bay Harbor and the North Jetty.
Peacocks are territorial. Their vocalizations are something else. I once lived next to a guy who had a peacock. At first, I thought somebody was torturing a cat.
