We stopped at a pumpkin farm. Genetic diversity is a wonderful thing. By the way, pumpkins are never GMOs.







I saw my old buddy from a while ago again. This time I was prepared and gave him some seeds. He came right up to me.



I also saw a prisoner, hopefully not on death row.



I should have had a slice of pumpkin pie or a pumpkin cannoli to go with the theme but I really wanted the Italian lemon cake. I did not touch the éclair.

My old HO slot cars from the late 60s, early 70s. A friend had a big track in this basement him and his Dad built, and we had organized races, lol. That Porsche was insanely fast, but didn't say on the track very well. We use to put "Oil of Wintergeen" liquid on the foam tires to make them have better traction on the track.

Had a bunch of Aurora HO cars and track as a kid. But no room to leave it in place.

All those metal pins on the outside of the track sections, and the little white plastic lock pieces that held the sections together. What a pain.

Modified the chassis on one of the cars to hold an extra magnet ahead of the armature motor. Was like turbo charging it!
 
The mailroom van at my work. I had to borrow it a couple weeks ago to move some equipment and drive it across town and back on the freeway. I looked up at the oil change sticker and it has driven 300 miles in almost 3 years. It’s a 2001 with 17k miles. I think most of those miles were early in it’s life.

That 4.3L surprisingly runs strong and has good power.
