View attachment 122555My truck chilling under the tree getting her weekly maintenance check. I always keep an eye on everything. Her air filter from 2018 is still Snow White lol. I’m wondering if I’m ever going to have to change it haha. She just got an inspection last week. The place I go for my inspections the guys son was doing it and couldn’t figure out where the signals were on the front lol. The dad had to show him. The truck definitely needs a new exhaust. The tailpipe is snapped off from the muffler but it still passes inspection because it’s past the passenger compartment. All the hangers could snap any minute but for 33 years old it’s not bad for an original exhaust. I love my truck just don’t get to drive it a lot anymore.
I had one of those that was like a 5-speed manual with no power steering. As far as power is very gutless I don't think I could ever get it up over 80 and it didn't have cruise control either

Moms car sporting her new tires. I’m a little salty about it cause they made it a point to get the ones I don’t like but it’s their car and their money so I’m not saying anything. They got the Michelin CrossClimate 2. My experience with the tires is they are very noisy (which proved here on this car too even louder than the traditional Toyota road noise). I’ve not been too impressed with Michelin overall as I’ve noticed about the last two years they just wear down so fast. We have warrantied several at work but throughout the Michelin series not just these. I would of personally got the Uniroyal Tiger Paw which are a lot more promising than these even though they are made by Michelin. The place where we got them told us they would be noisy which these are why people usually return these at my work for. I would of gotten them at work but unfortunately they were $50 more per tire just like they were online I would of gotten a small discount but not much. We can’t do $200 per tire that’s a little ridiculous. In the end I’m trying to get them to return them but as long as they are happy I’ll put a little less pressure on them lol. Two things that made me a little upset is one they wouldn’t torque to Toyota spec they said they had to do 80 for steel wheels and 100 for aluminum because aluminum flexes more. They could only vary if it was a truck. Her wheels are aluminum and I’m worried the 100 would damage them as Toyota specs 76. And also they use anti seize as a company policy. I wanted to put them on but this place said if we didn’t have them installed there they couldn’t warranty them. I hope they return them lol but I’m not letting that place put any other tires on not after they mentioned their company policy. Plus last time they put tires on my dads car we snapped two studs trying to take the wheels off. Tomorrow I’ll look and make sure all are on correctly as I wasn’t there to inspect in the daylight because I was working. They are directional. I’m just glad my parents didn’t fall for the Goodyear tires the place was trying to pressure them to buy. I guess tires are kind of a personal preference thing. Personally I think these make the car look ugly cause it looks like a winter tire from the side.

Anti-Seize plus higher torque than spec is a good way to snap a lug nut stud.
