There are a lot of seagulls in Niagara Falls because it’s along their migration path and they like to eat the fish in the Niagara river. So often the photos taken there get photobombed by them, with cool results

The secret to get the psychopatic look out of the seagull is to use a powerful enough flash. Anything with a guide number of 36 or higher will do. At close enough, a GN20 will also do. TTL brand-specific flashes are widely available from chinaland for a dime a dozen. The problem is they have to go on a camera, as they are not synchable with a phone. Or at least - I haven't checked lately. Maybe TTL flashes for phones now exist.

Fifty years ago my dad used Castrol GTX as his go to, 20W50 in our 460ci Lincolns. I don't know how he chose that option but it was his pick. I think maybe the cans were gold back then but not sure.
Know I'm late to the party but I'm going to reply anyway.

That's a good data point for my 1977 Ford F-100, has a 460 from a Lincoln Continental. 1971 casting mark on the block so from the era you're referencing.

I've been running 10w30, but you're giving a good reminder that these old engines can take much thicker. I have started running 15w40, and I'm hoping for less oil consumption.

Regardless it's time for a rebuild on that tired powerplant. Pics for the thread: original photo and commissioned artwork for my office.

We have a Rinai Tankless water heater. I flush it once a year. We are on a well and have a salt water softener as well as two hug carbon filter tanks that was installed by Chemours because we have PFAS in our water and they are supposed to take it out. Anyway, this is after an hour of recirculating the white vinegar through the system to clean it out. I'm please with it. Looks great and seems I can go longer than a year on the flush if I wanted too.
