This guy is starting to terrify me.

WDP, I find your stats hard to believe as the richest people in this country pay a whopping lopsided share of the burden. It's something like the top 5% of earners pay 50% of the taxes and 50% of the population pay almost no federal tax.

That's why I don't want to see income redestributed anymore than it already is. You have a low and middle-low class of people who are getting a free ride. They get to vote but many aren't even paying atoken amount towards the common good.

That makes GROUCHO's "spigot" problem even worse.

I see Kerry is responding to the Eevil Bush "negative" ads. He's got the nerve to contest the $900 billion figure.

It's funny Bror, I will vote for Dubya and my vote will not count as yours won't as NY is solidly in Kerry's camp.

However, I have no problem with raising taxes on high earners without a corresponding raise in spending. I may sound a bit of a socialist or redistributor, but I really feel that the tax system is very regressive when looked at in total. That is with all excise, sales and payroll taxes.

I dearly hope that Kerry does not become president. The more I hear this guy talk the more I think he is in La-La Land. But the terrible thing is this guy COULD BECOME PRESIDENT!

Hopefully if he is elected president Congress will continue to be over 50% Republican and they will be able to keep this guy in check. He will probably do everything he can to trash the military, stop military operations in other countries, raise taxes, and waste money on worthless social programs.

Under Kerry the Democrats have been involved in one of the most negative campaigns in history. President Bush has been a gentleman and has had wonderful, positive commercials.

If the Republicans ever decide to really go after Kerry there are an awesome number of skeletons in Kerry's closet.
