I've been looking to put a nice 350 in my old Jeep CJ7 down the road. Now I know where to get it!

I don't see much in these videos (I only watched to #5). Still pictures of a pretty engine, lots of Superlatives etc.
Sure he is using quality parts, and presumably on a daily basis 'Doing it right' But this is only what I would do if I was building an engine in my basement. Taking my time, using Lube and Loctite where applicable, Not forcing anything, working in a clean environment etc.
I have also been to exhibitions where companies show Jewel like engines to ADVERTSE there work, but I bet 9 times out of 10 what they sell is not up to their exhibition standards.
If you do the job yourself, YOU can be the judge if and How you cut corners, anywhere else, you are at the mercy of the engine builder. Lets face it, we all have good and bad days, I will not build an engine for MY car on a bad day!

I kept thinking they probably send the same sets of pictures to all customers.

In reality you are paying for it. A buddy bought a crate engine from Summit. It runs pretty good now, but it was not a trouble free experience.....I do like that he uses rollers and torquey cams, but the comment about the cam by looking visually good was a bit hokey.

You can buy a brand new ZZ4 crate motor, or a fast burn 350 that will almost as much power than that guys 383, for less money! And you'll get a better warranty as well.

he is by no means the worst engine builder, but the fact that his video shows him building a 350 externally balanced leaves a lot to be desired, especially when everything else is beautiful, perfect, look at how nice that finish is, bla bla bla.

I used to build all my own big blocks but now I can't even see value in anything buy buying a GM crate motor. NEW parts, 2 yr warrranty, did I mention all new? I'm on my 4th crate motor big block now and every one has been reliable and strong. I'll fire up the Ram Jet 502 sometime soon and have no doubt it will start right up and run as well as all the others.
