The spare from my 91 F150. 2004 date code. Also dismounted a tire from 1999, but that was in better shape.

Some of you guys remain concerned about "little" cracks, LOL.

My home made tilt trailer has some sidewall cracks but not as alarming as yours! the seller grunted and said "but they are 10 ply!"

I still bought it and it traveled 75 miles unloaded ok.

I'm not concerned about a tyre losing air when it has cracks like that.... I worry it decides to give up suddenly and disintegrate completely. Then I need to chanhge the wheel there and then after changing my pants possibly. if it loses air gradually I can put some more in at regular times until I get home.

So I wouldn't run a tyre like that, but then mine never age out they wear out.

Amazing how soft and many cracks it has, especially on a flexed sidewall.

I had a friend flip her vehicle over on the the highway doing 70 (unhurt) because she bought tires from a local gas station. They were new and unused but aged out. I told her they don't look right (they had much smaller cracks under the tire tread) and to get a refund, but she didn't listen. Just go to a tire shop not a gas station, what is this, 1952?

Alright, let’s mount it and see how many miles down the road it goes

My money is on less than 5 miles.. I carried along an ancient, but holding air, spare like that on a road trip one time and naturally I needed it.. I made it a couple miles before a belt broke and the tire started to look like an S all while still holding air..
