You do have to be picky with the aftermarket parts. Many aftermarket parts aren't manufactured to OEM durability standards. What's the odds of them needing to last 12-15 years?

I've never had an aftermarket accessory belt last as long as the assembly line belt ..regardless of the name brand.

I would think Moog would still make decent suspension parts.

That's a common mistake. We'd all be better off if you didn't repeat the statement.

In some way he is kind of correct, because cars here stop dropping in value after it reaches about 2500-3000 as long as it is in good condition. I don't think suspension parts refresh will cost that much.
 
A torch will make smell that you will remember and loathe for life!
But they work when all else fails.
Also, you can often cut them [steel inserts]to relieve pressure and then get them out.
