Known history:
-Original owner replaced rear bumper after being hit in parking lot.
Since I have owned it:
-Had the front bumper backed into hard enough by classic Chicago Park By Touch(trademark pending) to require the front plate be taken off and bent back into shape. This also broke a few of the plastic push pins that hold the bumper on and generally scuffed it up.
-Rear bumper hit while parked on street, causing several hundred dollars of repair/repaint (estimate). Before that was even fixed...
-Rear ended on way to work. Required another new bumper and straightening of bumper supports. This was in January.
-Rear ended on way to work. Same highway. Will need another another new bumper and probably supports straightened, again. This happened today.
Seriously?! This will be the 4th rear bumper for this car. And I haven't bothered with replacing the front one yet...at this rate I'm waiting until I move out of Chicago. I think I need a priest/auto-exorcist/somebody...there appears to be bulls eyes all over my poor Subaru.
