Thicker oil for hotter ambient temp, Why?

Yes, certainly correct...it's per big end.
Mains are slightly more per bearing.
Piston skirts much more again.

Well the 100hp is OBVIOUSLY after the parasitic losses have been taken out, as your butt never gets to feel a frictionless engine.

Like I said previously, omega (RPM) squared...so your 14,000 request is going to be about double what the 7,500RPM case is...and as I stated, big ends have more surface speed...more frictional losses, and the piston/rings are more than that...piston assemblies are worth about 2-3 times the bearing total (ever wonder why they are making such skimpy g-string pistons ???

Combined, they are worth about 15% of indicated horsepower...so looking at the ratio of 15W40 to 10W30 in the table as an example, your butt COULD find 3-4hp...

Put an oil temp gauge in that bike and you will understand thicker oil immediately.

Monitor your clutch temps ans you will REALLY understand it.

The Honda DCT system is an oil destroying monster if it is forced to operate in the wrong gear.
